Vacation 2012

A family shot on our last night of vacation.  We are in Philadelphia, PA at a Philly's game.  Guess what?  We had a rain out.  I ( being from California) have never experienced a rain/thunderstorm like that before EVER!
That in itself was so exciting but we didn't even sit in a seat or see a ball pitched.  Oh well, it was a blast anyway.  We still ate cheese-steaks and bought souvenirs...

I think we are looking a little HOT and SWEATY but with smiles on our faces!

~Washington D.C. 2012~

I just wanted to share a few (she took 280 shots) of Hannah's pictures from her Washington D.C. trip this Spring.  By the looks of the pictures you can see she had a great time and I think she is turning out to be a pretty good little photographer!  The shots of the cherry blossoms are gorgeous if I do say so myself.  The kids were so lucky to have been in D.C. at the perfect time for the cherry trees!

That's my girl taking pics of the rugs in King George's Palace, Williamsburg, VA

Hannah thought this was a cute house, Williamsburg, VA
She is right!

Cherry blossoms blooming!

Just beautiful!

Great perspective: Blossoms, river and the Jefferson monument

There she is in front of the Capital

Arlington Cemetery

I thought this was really cool, this was taken from the bus!

Pentagon Memorial for September 11th

Fords Theater, the famous balcony!

These were just a few of the places the kids visited while in the D.C. area and as you can see my son didn't take one photograph!

I hope you enjoyed these pictures, I know I did!

~Traveling Kids~

My kids are across the country visiting Washington D.C..this week.  They are on a trip with fellow 8th graders from their school. They are so lucky to be seeing some spectacular places.  Monticello, Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon, the Kennedy Center, Gettysburg, the Capitol, Smithsonian, all of the monuments, etc...  It is a fantastic trip, I am so jealous but so glad they could do this. Of course we have had some pitfalls.  Hannah has been homesick, Austin has been bus sick (not unusual) and banged his knee into something, he must have hurt it pretty bad the principal called to make sure we knew about it and it was ok to give him advil. Such a great experience they will never forget.  I am so thankful to my mom and dad for making this happen.  You are the best Grammy & Papa!!!
Here are some pics of the kids getting ready to be dropped off at the bus:

Austin never wants his picture taken

Better...

Hannah always loves her picture taken

Acting like they really like each other (they really do)!

Can't wait to hear all about it.
xoxo

p.s. I miss them soo much!!!
