~Spring has finally arrived~

I have finally put some Springtime items up in the house.  Every year it turns out a little different.  I usually add one or two new things into the mix of old.
Here is how the mantel turned out this time.

This little book page bunny is the newbie in the group.  I love his little cotton tail!
So easy to make, I will be doing a little tutorial on it soon.

~A new room for Hannah~

It's time to do some updating for Hannah's bedroom.  We have decided upon pink (still her favorite color) and orange.  Mama has to do some letting go of her own ideas because Hannah has her own opinions about what she wants and doesn't want.  She is 15 almost 16 years old mom!!
So here is an inspiration board:

What do you think?

I follow a great blog called "Boxwood Clippings".  Today their post was all about H & M Home.
Oh my goodness!  I fell in love with practically everything, so I had to share with all of my friends on the blog.  I had a very hard time deciding what to feature?  So here are just a few great items.

Such great prices too!  Click on this link H&M Home.

Are you in love like I am???

Fourth of July Mantel...

Well, yesterday I got inspired to do a few 4th of July decorations in our family room.  Of course I didn't want to spend any money on this because it will probably be up for a week or so.  So I went outside and cut some flowers from the backyard and then went to my scrap booking drawer and found some blue and red scrapbook paper along with some ribbon.  I went into the kitchen and pulled out some pitchers, I just happen to have a red one and had to decide which white one I wanted to use and then through it all together.  It is definitely festive and I hope it will help make the holiday a fun one!

Happy Independence Day 2012!!

It's time for Milk & Cookies...

I had to share this darling idea for a party.  It's a Milk & Cookies baby shower party!  I ran across this from a blog I follow called "A Thoughtful Place", where Courtney the author of the blog saw the idea and shared it from the blog "Our Daily Obsessions"  .  I am trying so hard to figure out how or who to throw a party for so I can do the "Milk & Cookies theme.  I love it, it is adorable and looks delicious!
Please enjoy the pictures, I know I am!

Doesn't this make you want a Milk & Cookies party too?

I am having fun getting ready for the BUNNY to come, I hope you are too!

Do you love Numbers?

I love numbers.  I love the way they look, they are so graphic, especially in black and white.  Now don't get me wrong I don't love numbers like an accountant might love numbers, I just love the way they look.  Kind of goofy, huh?  So I saw this post from one of the blogs I am following called A Thoughtful Place and had to try this out.  I  bought some pillow covers from Ikea and got to work on my computer.  I figured out what font I wanted and then changed their size to "huge".  I printed them on cardstock and proceeded to cut them out.  I then traced them onto the pillow covers with a pencil.  I found that on the second pillow cover I could skip this step and immediately trace the number with a skinny sharpie.  Then I filled it in with a thick black sharpie (kind of stinkie)  and then used fabric paint and painted over the entire black area of the number.  I was very pleased with the end result and so easy peasy!

The inspiration: These were from Pottery Barn a long time ago...

These are the Ikea pillow covers...

My numbers ready to cut out...

The number "2" just finished painting...

Pillow number 2 done...

Pillow number 3 done...

And both pillows together...

I don't have any good reason why I did the numbers 2 & 3 other then I like the way these numbers look.
What do you think, are you a number person???
